Under direction, to be responsible for the administration and direction of the Office of Performance Measurement or the Planning Section of the Community Human Services Department; to function as a member of the Department Management Group; and to perform related duties as assigned.

This position will be responsible for the planning, supporting and implementating evidenced based practices in Ramsey County Community Corrections. The individual will supervise two planning specialists. The right candidate will have expereince assisting a jurisdiction with the implementation of EBP. The individual will have knowledge of EBP and issues related to the implementation of EBP within an organization. He/she will be capable of developing lesson plans, competent to train in several areas and will have a master training certification in 1 or 2 areas. He/she will possess excellent communication skills, a high level of organizational skills, and follow through. The ability to engage staff and work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization is essential.

Minimum/Desirable Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Service Administration, or in a behavioral science.
Experience: Seven years’ experience in human services planning, service delivery, or a related function appropriate to community corrections.
Other: A Master’s Degree in one of the above-noted fields may substitute for two years of the required experience.

Community Corrections Director - Scott County (Closes 05/23/08)

As Director, you’ll be a principal player setting the vision, direction, & programming for Community Corrections in Scott County. Under the tenets of Restorative Justice, our efforts & services aim to promote public safety through effective & appropriate supervision for offenders, while also being supportive & responsive to the needs of victims & communities. Through a variety of activities, the department works with the First Judicial District Court & other key justice system agencies, offices, & professionals. Having an excellent team in place, your job will be to ensure the ongoing evolution, effectiveness, & efficiency of programs for the good of individuals, families, & communities served. MQ: Requires the equivalency of a bachelor’s degree (MA preferred) & six years of increasingly complex Corrections experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience. This is a highly collaborative position requiring an adept interpersonal communicator. An ability to innovate & be creative amid a myriad of expectations, orders, & stakeholders is essential. A valid driver’s license is required. Hiring Range: $70,256 to $95,000-DOQ. Selection Method: Rating of Training & Experience.
